FAQs

  • Who is Harper?

Harper offers a convenient and stress-free shopping experience that allows you to see and feel your pieces before committing to a purchase, just like in a store. Our Try Before You Buy service enables you to try on pieces with your own wardrobe at home and only pay for the ones you decide to keep at the end of your try on period.

For customers in Greater London, we also offer a Concierge service, which involves a 40-minute at-home appointment with a brand-trained Style Concierge who can provide styling advice and support to help you find your perfect piece.

Learn more about Harper at https://www.harperconcierge.com.

For the Concierge service, you can try up to eight pieces during your 40-minute appointment.
  • How much does this cost?

The Try Before You Buy service costs £5 for standard delivery and £8 for next day delivery.

The personal Styling Concierge Appointment service costs £14.95, which is payable by card at your appointment. There is no additional spend or purchase requirement.

Will using the Try Before You Buy service affect my credit score?
No, using our service will not impact your credit score. There is no issuing of credit.
  • Why was a pre-authorisation set up?

In some instances where we are unable to fully verify your information, we may ask to place a pre-authorisation on your card. This pre-authorisation acts like a hold on your card (similar to a hotel or car rental). The amount will not be taken from your account, but held until the try on period is concluded, at which point you will be charged for the pieces kept and the pre-authorisation will be removed. We use this measure to ensure we can serve as many people as possible.
  • Why was my order declined?

There are several reasons why your order may have been declined. We will notify you during the checkout process if this happens. Most likely, we were unable to verify your information.

To ensure that we have the best possible information at checkout, please do the following:
    ·       Provide accurate name and address details.
    ·       Ship to your registered billing address when possible.
    ·       Provide a valid and verifiable payment method.

If your order is declined, no payments will be processed. You can either re-enter your information and try again, or checkout through our normal process.
  • Can discounts be applied to Try Before You Buy orders?

Yes, discount codes can be applied. Simply enter the code during checkout and the discount will be reflected in the total amount charged.
  • How can I cancel/modify my order?

We regret that we are unable to modify orders.

If you need to cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible after placing it. Once dispatched, orders cannot be cancelled, but you can return any unwanted items to avoid being charged by following our returns policy.

For the Concierge service, please contact Harper's customer service team by emailing service@harperconcierge.com or calling 0333 939 8123.
  • What should I do if I have not received all of my Try Before You Buy pieces?

Sometimes orders are sent out in multiple packages. Your try on period does not start until all pieces from your order have been confirmed as delivered. Please contact our customer services here to inquire about any fulfilment issues.

For Try Before You Buy, your try on period starts the day after you receive your complete order.
For the Concierge service, you will have 40 minutes to try on the items in your order.
  • How long do I have to try on my pieces?

For the Concierge service, you will have a 40-minute appointment to try on your pieces and decide what you want to keep. At the end of your appointment, your Style Concierge will take any returns with them.
  • How do I return the unwanted pieces?

For the Try Before You Buy service, you can easily return items via our Returns Portal. Please note that we do not accept Try Before You Buy returns in stores.
Please ensure that any returned pieces have the label, are undamaged, and unsoiled, or they will not be accepted and you will be charged.

For the Concierge service, your Style Concierge will take care of any returns, saving you the hassle.
  • Do I need to send my returns during the try on period?

Yes, any unwanted pieces need to be returned during the Try Before You Buy try on period. These returns do not necessarily need to be received by the warehouse during this period, but they must be sent off within this time frame. We will charge your card for the pieces kept at the end of the period (the pieces that were not returned).
  • Can I make a return after the try on period?

Yes, you can. For Try Before You Buy, you will have the usual 14 days from when you receive your pieces to make any further returns. However, you will be charged for the pieces you kept at the end of the try on period, and therefore you will have to wait for a refund for any returns made outside of the try on period.

For the Concierge service, to return any purchases made, please contact our Customer Care team here.

For the Concierge service, once you have decided which items you want to keep, payments are taken by your stylist at your appointment via a mobile iZettle card reader.
  • How do I change my payment details?

For the Concierge service, you will be charged at the end of your 40-minute appointment via a mobile card reader for the pieces you wish to keep, plus a nominal £14.95 fee for the service.
  • Who will come to my Style Concierge appointment?

A RIXO-trained member of the Harper Concierge Style Team delivers your pieces. Please note, your stylist may arrive at any time during your 1-hour slot. Appointment slots are one hour, and you have 40 minutes of try-on time after you take delivery.
  • Who do I contact if I have more questions about the service?
