What I wore in Paris. Clothes for sipping, Metro-ing, menu-tasting, people watching and oodles of walking. Some new bits, but most of the pieces you might recognise from other posts here. I re-wear my clothes a lot. That shouldn't be novel or unusual, but it kind of is? Even after years of writing about fashion, I'm learning that buying things purely to meet the pressures of an occasion simply doesn't work, although it's something I still fall foul too - the pressure to have something shiny and new for an event, for a photo on Instagram, whatever it is. But when you do it, it always feels a bit holllow. It's not the same as buying something because it captivates you. It's not like falling head over heels for something because it's so 'you' you have to have it. Those are the pieces you will re-wear and remix. They become akin to loyal friends.
